                                What is this I feel?
                                 Warmth, connection
                                 Whole yet quivering with fear
                                 Where did it all come from?
                                Where will it lead?
                                Sometimes I wonder about this need.

                                Urgently yearning
                                my eyes, they plead

                                You walked away..
                                and left this space

                                This burning desire..
                                Once more for you touch..
                                if only, just once..

                                But alas..you are gone
                                for all time
                                never to return
                                leaving me to feel this unending burn

                                What do I hear??
                                Your footsteps..coming near..
                                my breath catches..my heart pounds..
                                Could it be you?
                                I strain for the sounds.

                                It is you
                                 The same..yet different
                                Wisdom and knowledge..took thier toll
                                Your eyes
                                 Show a life before untold
                                 a wholeness within your soul
                                 old wounds are healing
                                 old scars have faded
                                You have emerged from the darkness

                                My eyes take you in
                                My heart eases
                                the burden lifted
                                My hand touches yours
                                My soul sighs with pleasure
                                You speak the words..
                                so long remembered
                                Fear closes in, just for a moment
                                my whispered reply
                                brings a light never seen
                                Once more together..
                                The same..yet different
                                One without the other
                                can not survive
                                but together..
                                we are alive
